Six years ago, a 9-year-old boy named Darian Lipscomb went on a Carnival cruise. To share the experience with his friends, he made his Snapchat handle @CarnivalCruise.

Via Snapchat, Lipscomb shared videos of himself tubing and zip lining across the cruise ship. Over the years, he has gone on several more Carnival cruises, documenting each one with the social media app.

Everything was going well until Carnival decided they wanted Lipscomb’s handle for their own social media promotion.

A Rosewood resort has opened in a hilltop forest in north-central Laos, and it is the first Rosewood resort with luxury tents.

The Rosewood Luang Prabang has 23 guestrooms, including six luxury tent villas, each of which is located on a secluded hillside.

The resort also has a pool tucked between a forest and a natural waterfall. The hotel’s design cues are taken from the concept of an early 1900s “hill station” where French hosts would welcome travelers. To that end, rooms include vintage touches such as old newspaper clippings, Kodak cameras and local artifacts.
