Midsize U.S. airports are now growing at a faster rate than their larger rivals, a reversal from just a few years ago.

Meanwhile, small U.S. airports are also seeing overall growth in their outbound seat capacity, though advocates warn that such a stat belies the fact that regional airlines and the smallest commercial airports in the United States continue to be imperiled by the growing pilot shortage.

Gay couples will again be able to wed in Bermuda after the Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a constitutional challenge to the Domestic Partnership Act, which in February made Bermuda the only nation in the world to reverse legalized same-sex marriage.

Bermuda’s Chief Justice Ian Kawaley said that revoking the right to same-sex marriage was inconsistent with Bermuda’s constitution, according to Bermuda’s Royal Gazette newspaper.

 


Cruise Industry News

Carnival Cruise Line has announced Carnival Spirit will become the brand’s first ever ship to homeport in Brisbane.

The announcement follows the ACCC’s approval of a new cruise ship terminal in Brisbane.

The Carnival Spirit will arrive into her new home in 2020, sailing year-round to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, as well as offer shorter cruises to well-loved destinations in North Queensland.
